Hyundai Sonata Transform Car

Sonata Transform is the all-new upgraded version of the Sonata Embera from Hyundai Motors. Compared to the Embera, the Transform hosts several new features and upgrades in terms of style, comfort, and convenience. The sedans impulsive style, power-packed performance, and exquisite interiors are offered under the Hyundai brand known for reliability and value.

An enlarged chrome radiator grille, wider front bumper and air dam, larger headlamps, and new design alloy wheels are some exterior highlights. The new interior sees dual tone interiors, high quality materials, and a host of chrome and wood inserts which enhance appearance and durability. Hyundai has added a second generation Theta petrol engine on the Sonata Transform for improved fuel efficiency and performance.

With its alluring style and active performance, the premium sedan challenges its rivals - the Honda Accord and Volkswagen Jetta. The car strengthens Hyundai's presence in the Indian car market particularly in the premium car segment.

The Sonata Transform is available in both diesel and petrol versions in two main variants - 2.4 VTVT (Petrol) and 2.0 CRDi (Diesel). The petrol version is powered by a 2.4-litre MPFI second generation Theta engine that produces 173 bhp and diesel variants come with a 148 bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT). The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and diesel engine is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 4-Speed H-Matic automatic gearbox which gives the choice of shifting from automatic to a manual sports mode when required

The interior looks sophisticated with dual-tone shades of beige & grey, woodgrain dashboard, and chrome inlays. Compared to the Embera, the Transform gets an all-new and impressive centre console. Steering wheel is wrapped in luxurious leather and has tilt/telescopic function. The Blue LED illuminated dashboard and padded door panels add a fresh look the cabin.

The drivers seat is 8-way power adjustable with dual height adjustment, fore-aft movement, backrest inclination, and lumbar support for the total comfort and stress-free driving. Unlike the Embera, the Transform does not offer cloth seating. Leather upholstery is standard on all variants.

The comfort zone in the cabin is maintained by a fully automatic dual-zone automatic temperature control system. The 6 CD changer on the Embera has been replaced with a 6-speaker CD/MP3 player with USB port (for plugging in portable devices) and an auxiliary port.

Hyundai has added an electronically-controlled ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution on the Transform. Other safety highlights are dual front airbags with passenger airbag off switch, impact sensing door unlock, and central door locking. For better safety, front side airbags and curtain airbags are available at an extra cost.
