Hyundai New i10 Car


Hyundai first launched the i10 in 2007 and since then the compact car has seen a number of upgrades. Now Hyundai Motors India has launched the facelifted version of the car and named it the "Next Gen i10". The new model features all new front grille, new headlamps, tail lamps, adjustable head rests, new front and rear bumper. But one feature that steals the show is the new engine with VTVT technology. Interior design of Hyundai Next Gen i10 is now more stylish with light-brown and beige two-tone colour scheme for the dash. The new i10 also boasts of Bluetooth connectivity with steering mounted controls and an AUX as well as USB port for the sound system.

Hyundai Next Gen i10 is available in nine variants: Hyundai Next Gen i10 1.1 D-Lite, Hyundai Next Gen i10 1.1 Era, Hyundai Next Gen i10 1.1 Magna, Hyundai Next Gen i10 1.2 Magna, Hyundai Next Gen i10 1.2 Sportz, Hyundai Next Gen i10 1.2 Sportz AT, Hyundai Next Gen i10 1.2 Sportz (O), Hyundai Next Gen i10 1.2 Asta, Hyundai Next Gen i10 1.2 Asta AT. The Next Gen i10 Asta AT comes with a sunroof.

The Hyundai Next Gen i10 comes in a range of attractive colours including Blushing Red, Thunder Black, Sleek Silver, Champagne Gold, Ice Silver, Electric Red, Crystal White, and Carbon Grey.

Meanwhile, the 1.1 litre iRDE2 (Intelligent Responsive Drive Engine) has been tweaked to deliver peak power and it also ensures there's maximum mileage delivered with low emissions. The iRDE2 motor in the i10 churns out 68 bhp at 5500 rpm and peak torque of 99 Nm at 4500 rpm.

The revolutionary Kappa engine offers the driver a choice of the extremely smooth, fun-to-drive, first-in-class 4-speed auto transmission and the exceptionally responsive 5-speed manual transmission. The iRDE 2 too has been mated to the extremely efficient and accurate 5-speed manual gearbox.

The dynamic i10 has been equipped with an up-to-the-minute suspension system that suits Indian road conditions the best. There's the McPherson Strut with coil spring in the front and Coupled Torsion Beam Axle with coil springs in the rear that absorb all the humps on the rough Indian roads.

The new-look instrument cluster too has been ergonomically positioned on the dashboard. It provides all the useful info the driver needs at a glance. The shift indicator display here happens to be the first-in-class, offering the driver gentle reminders for gear change to ensure maximum fuel efficiency.

For entertainment, there's an in-dash 2 DIN MP3 audio harmoniously integrated in the dashboard and has aux-in provision for iPod playing. The centre console tray has been equipped with a USB port and Bluetooth connectivity too.

Driver and passenger dual-front airbags, anti lock braking system, reverse parking sensors, ELR seatbelts with pretensioners, warning lamps in the instrument cluster, multi-reflector fog lamps and more work together assuring safety for all passengers.
